Drug-Free Rehabilitation

Wednesday, November 5th, 2008

Many factors can be taken into consideration when choosing the correct rehabilitation center for yourself or a loved one. One of the key factors is the basic methodology of treatment at any given center. In other words, what is actually done to rehabilitate the individual into a drug-free lifestyle.

Here at Georgia Alliance we very much advocate a Drug-Free Rehabilitation Center. Now, what is meant by this. Obviously the gaol of any rehabilitation center is to get an individual off of drugs. Unfortunately, there are a number of rehabilitation centers that use a substitute drug as the treatment for an addiction. Just because a drug is legal or prescription, does not necessarily mean that it is safe or non-addictive.  A treatment center that admits someone on heroine and discharges them on methadone is not actually curing anything. That is why Georgia Alliance is proud to recommend only centers that are drug-free. When a person graduates from the center that we recommend to you, that person will be 100% off of drugs.

The real key in a search for drug rehabilitation is to ask questions. Asking “how does the treatment work” and “is it drug-free” are two very important questions. Good luck with your search and I hope that we can be of assistance.
