Good News! Effective Low Priced Drug Rehab Exists

Sunday, January 31st, 2010

Drug rehab programs offer this paradox. The more you pay, the less you get. Not in services or accommodations, of course. But rather in results. Which is by far the most important factor to consider when choosing a drug rehab program.

No matter how much you pay, unless you find an effective drug rehab program, your loved one can relapse, and once again bring on the nightmare. So many do.

Drug rehab success rates vary dramatically. Two people I know found that even well known, high priced programs they found could claim less than 15% of the patients successfully beat addiction. That’s shocking to me and troubling.

Certainly, cost is a factor one must consider. But the good news is that  higher priced programs do not necessarily achieve better results. Relatively low priced programs exist which get excellent results. In fact, the program we refer most of our Clients to is priced well below many high profile, slick marketed, rehab programs. Nearly eight in ten of the addicts they treat permanently beat drug addiction. Now that’s good news.

We look forward to helping you through this difficult time. Effective, low cost drug rehab in Georgia is available. And we can help you find it.

With warm regards,

The Sad Fate of a Celebrity Drug Addict

Friday, January 29th, 2010

While on a 24 hour pass from his L.A. based drug rehab program, the son of Farrah Fawcett was arrested on felony drug charges yet again.  Since this most recent transgression violated probation, Redmond O’Neal, just 24, blessed with good looks and more opportunity than most, could get as much as six years in prison.

“It seems to me you haven’t got a clue as to what recovery means, ” the Judge exclaimed. “It’s a lifetime commitment. It’s grinding, hard, painful work.

From this sad news, it would seem logical to conclude, as did the Judge, that recovery is a lifetime committment. That it’s grinding, hard, painful work. But such conclusion implies that addiction is like a chronic disease, a disease which can be kept at bay but not be beat. Or is like a dark cold shadow which never lets one free to bask in the sun.

This is a defeatist view which I believe has been shaped by the general failure of the Drug Rehab Industry to develop effective programs. Relapse rates among addicts treated at most drug rehab in Georgia programs are high. Astoundingly high. As many as eight in ten addicts succumb to further drug use after being released from treatment.

But good, effective drug rehab programs exist. One such program we refer many Clients to can boast of a recovery rate approaching eighty per cent. How quickly the odds can change in your favor with the right drug rehab program. How quickly and how permanently the shadow can lift.

We wish you much success in your efforts to beat drug addiction and stand forever ready to help you in such efforts.

The Best Way to Find Effective Drug Rehab in Georgia

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010

Finding drug rehab for a loved one in Georgia is easy; it’s finding effective drug rehab that’s hard. And it’s no wonder. Few have dealt with or ever expect to deal with drug addiction. When faced with such a gruesome problem, most don’t know what to do. Who can they trust to answer their questions and help them find someone to handle the crisis they face.

I read a number of commentaries on drug addiction and rehab today. Most of it was confusing, contradictory and incorrect. Full of psychobabble. I thought, “Oh my God, hundreds of good people, desperate to find help for their problem, are being led astray or into apathy.” So I decided to write this blog entry.

Drug addiction is worst things you’ll likely ever face. It’s hell on the Addict and the family too. And it’s a tough one to beat. In fact, with most programs, you have little chance of beating addictions. And if you don’t beat when you have the opportunity, you won’t get many more opportunities.

But that’s the bad news. The good news is that help is possible. There is effective drug rehab in Georgia. You’re not likely to stumble upon it on your own. But it does exist. My sincere advice is to work with  Georgia Alliance, the leading free drug rehab referral service in Georgia. We know the programs that work and based on your situation and circumstances will refer you to the right one.

By the way, we avoid any program which uses drugs as part of their therapy. in our minds, it makes no sense to help an addict get off one drug only to replace it with another. Even without considering the harmful side effects which any drug poses, what kind of message does that give an Addict? Right. You can’t live without drugs.

We’ve been at this for a decade now and really care about our Clients. We won’t just give you a quick referral and expect you to fend for yourself. We’ll stay with you through the process to ensure you get the help you need.

I wish you much success,

How Not to Handle Drug Addiction

Tuesday, January 19th, 2010

Remember the commercials for the popular potato chip which claimed “I bet you can’t eat just one”? There was a reason they were so confident in their challenge. You see, the chips were laced with ingredients like sugar, and these ingredients created physiological changes in the body which created cravings. The marketers knew that you and I would succumb to these cravings.

If you’re like me, you did succumb. On some level then, and just for the purposes of example, you were an addict. Right? You craved and you used until your cravings were satisfied.

Now let’s say as the New Year rolled on, you decided to quit using. You could no longer face your bloated self in the mirror. How would you tackle your addiction?  Would you substitute cookies for the chips? After all, you could claim you handled your potato chip addiction. True? Of course not, you’d still be a User, and you’d know it.

Most likely you’d watch a couple of episodes of The Biggest Loser for motivation, maybe you’d ask a friend to partner with you for accountability, and then you’d throw out every bag of chips. Every last one of them. You’d work out and you’d eat right. And slowly but surely without the physiological effects of the chips, your cravings would vanish. And as good habits replaced bad habits, your condition would improve and your confidence in yourself would grow.

Drug addiction should be handlled the same way. Not as a disease to be treated with more drugs. Replacing the addict’s drug of choice with a Rehab Facility’s drug of choice is not much different than trading chips for cookies. No matter if they’re dealt on the street or doled out by a psychiatrist drugs create powerful and often harmful physiological side effects. And in every case, their use reminds the Addict that he can not live without drugs. This is neither true nor helpful.

Our mission at Georgia Alliance is to find a  drug rehab in Georgia program which will help your loved one beat drug addiction for good. We’ve done this for years for thousands like you. Whether you use our free referral service and the help of our experienced drug rehab referral specialists or not, I urge you to avoid any program which advocates treating drug addiction with more drugs.

I wish you much success,

Drug Free Programs

Wednesday, January 13th, 2010

Here at Georgia Alliance we only promote and provide to you drug free programs. While this may seem redundant to say, it is something to think about. Not all programs out there are drug free. Some facilities actually use drugs to combat drugs. The staff of Georgia Alliance do not feel that this is the correct answer. When someone leaves a drug rehabilitation facility in Georgia, that person should not be dependent on a drug. This is simply a legal substitute and not a solution.

Therefore, have confidence that you will receive referrals to rehabilitation centers that are drug free. You or your loved ones should live a life without drugs. That is our goal and we share it with you.

Best Regards,

Staff of Georgia Alliance

The Danger with Undertreating Drug Addiction

Monday, January 11th, 2010

Drug addiction is a vicious enemy. Relentless. Nearly unbeatable.  Those it doesn’t kill, it leaves permanently injured.

Such an enemy does not yield to ordinary measures. A few weeks of counseling; some more drugs, this time legal ones but ones which still carry risks and create complications. That’s undertreatment.

To beat drug addition for good, a  program must take extraordinary measures. If the program you choose does not eliminate every trace of drugs left in the body, does not eliminate the reasons drugs were  used in the first place, does not eliminate the factors which lead to relapse, which sadly occurs with 80% of those who go into drug rehab, you will be undertreating the condition and you will  likely fail.

You can beat addiction for good.  But there are few programs that work and many that don’t.  Before you choose a program, you must find out what percentage are permanently cured of their drug addiction. If it’s less than 75% or if you need help to find a drug rehab in Georgia program that works, call Georgia Alliance, the leading drug rehab referral source in Georgia.  Our service is free; our help priceless.

I wish you well.
