Meet the Georgia Alliance Team

Christine White

Executive Director

Christine White brings to her role with Georgia Alliance for Progress 20 years experience working at the intersection of social impact, law and culture as a business consultant, organizer and attorney. In her private legal practice, Christine provided strategic operations and management consulting to start-up founders and creative businesses owners in the media and entertainment space. Christine is also a co-host for “A Seat at the Table”, a nationally syndicated, a weekly TV show addressing issues related to race and gender politics in America. Raised in Decatur GA, Christine is a proud alumnae of Spelman College where she earned her B.A. in Political Science. Christine also holds a J.D. from John Marshall Law School and an MBA from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Anna Beck

Director of Development

Anna Beck brings more than fifteen years of fundraising experience to her role as Director of Development for the Georgia Alliance for Progress. Throughout her career she has raised millions of dollars in the state of Georgia, leading the fundraising effort on multiple statewide and local campaigns and for non-profit organizations. She is the former Executive Director of Georgia’s WIN List, a Political Action Committee devoted to training and electing pro-choice democratic women in Georgia. Most recently, Anna worked in development for the Paideia School, helping to raise more than $3.4 million annually to support Financial Aid. A native of Atlanta, Anna holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health and lives with her husband and three kids in Decatur.

Danny D. Glover

Political Director

Danny D. Glover, a native & resident of Macon-Bibb, Georgia brings to his role as Political Director for Georgia Alliance for Progress more than 10 years of direct action organizing and governmental affairs experience at the local, state, and federal level. Glover, who previously served as the National HBCU Outreach Director for Senator Bernie Sanders, Senior Advisor for Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock and most recently the Field Representative for Senator Raphael Warnock, is utilizing organizing skills he mastered as 70th Student Government Association President at Tennessee State University to bring politics and civic engagement to black voters, students, and working millennials in a way never before seen in modern times.

Sydney Morton

Operations Director

Sydney Morton brings over 20 years of nonprofit experience to her role as the Operations Manager at Georgia Alliance for Progress. Her professional experience includes nonprofit accounting and management, human resources and grant management. From a young age, service has been a core value and working in the nonprofit sector was a natural fit. Sydney began her nonprofit career working at a grassroots organization in Apopka, Florida as a grant writer and literacy trainer serving migrant farm workers, single mothers and underserved communities. She is excited to be working in the progressive movement and “back to her roots” where the work being done is life-changing and instrumental to moving forward. Sydney is an alumna of the University of Dayton where she received her BA and MA in Communication. She lives in downtown Atlanta with her husband and teenage daughter. She is an avid reader, runner, yoga enthusiast and social being!
